Olivia Schlosstein
Born and raised in Washington State, Olivia’s filmmaking journey was ignited, popcorn in hand, at the Seattle International Film Festival. Fueled by the vibrant films she saw, she pursued her passion for filmmaking at Loyola Marymount University, where she studied Film & TV Production.
While studying abroad in Germany, Olivia directed and edited her first documentary, a film about the power of eating “ugly” produce. Here, she discovered her knack for post-production and non-scripted storytelling, carving out a niche that would shape her professional trajectory. Upon graduating, Olivia was hired as an assistant editor of a docuseries that highlighted solutions to issues within our global food systems.
The Best Chef in the World sold Olivia on Breakwater’s mission to telling humanistic stories through the power of craft, integrity, and often a good meal.
Beyond the confines of the editing room, Olivia loves hosting dinner parties (are we surprised?), rock climbing, and spoiling her scruffy pup, Alfie.
