Nick Garnham Wright
Born and raised in Northern California, Nick was drawn to visual and language arts from an early age. Those passions led him to pursue a BFA in Film & Television Production from New York University’s acclaimed Tisch School of the Arts. After a nightmarish production experience involving a grip truck and an eight-point buck on the New Jersey Turnpike, Nick turned his focus to post-production and the relative safety of an editing suite. With a knack for writing and directing, and a secret love of sound design, Nick soon became something of an editorial Swiss Army Knife, bringing versatile craftsmanship to every cut. A Cali Boy at heart, Nick moved to Los Angeles soon after graduation to begin his career as an editor. After a brief stint in reality TV, cutting sizzle reels, Nick was introduced to Ben and Breakwater Studios by former high school classmate and mentor, Sean Higgins. Since then, he has been a trusted collaborator, working on many early and contemporary Breakwater projects. This exciting portfolio of documentary credits has also set the stage for Nick to find success as a narrative editor, cutting three successful indie features, Head Count (2018), Team Marco (2020), and Witch Hunt (2021), and rostering with the Motion Picture Editors Guild (IATSE Local 700).
