Laura Carlson

Laura was born and raised in Dallas, Texas – land of BBQ and Tex-Mex (her veganism hasn’t gotten her Texan card revoked…yet). Her high school broadcast journalism and film classes led her to pursue a degree in Radio-TV-Film at the University of Texas in Austin, where she dreamed of one day becoming an editor in Hollywood.

Upon moving to LA post-grad, she worked a few freelance AE and editing jobs, but quickly realized she preferred working with editors to being one herself. So she set her sights on the glamorous world of post supervision! She started her career in short-form digital lifestyle content, overseeing the delivery of hundreds of videos for the web, and is thrilled to bring her passion for Google spreadsheets and post-it note reminders to Breakwater.
