Kevin Matré

Kevin was born and raised in the Sacramento area, where his early curiosity about storytelling and media found its home. He began cultivating that passion in high school, when he joined the Media Communications Academy at Center High School in Antelope, eventually serving as the program’s inaugural Station Manager.

After graduating high school, Kevin briefly attended American River College before transferring to the University of Southern California’s School of Cinematic Arts, where he earned his B.A. in Film & Television Production in 2014. While at USC, Kevin fell further in love with both the art of storytelling and the vibrant Los Angeles film community.

From the moment he left school, Kevin’s career has been defined by versatility, grit, and a willingness to dive into every facet of media production. He has built his reputation producing and managing projects in a wide array of formats, including music videos, documentaries, branded content, and over a dozen feature films before joining the Breakwater Studios family at the beginning of 2025.
