Haley WatsonProduction Technician
Haley Watson is a Los Angeles based filmmaker, and cinematographer. Watson began her career in Richland, Washington after running out of gas on the way to Seattle from Chicago. In Richland, she worked as the assistant to the producer in development and production on the independent feature film DESERT CATHEDRAL. She finished the drive to Seattle and in 2015 earned two bachelor’s degrees from the University of Washington in psychology, and in film production. She continued to freelance as a camera assistant on commercials and narrative films in Seattle.
In 2018 Watson moved to Los Angeles. Shortly after arriving she was selected into American Film Institute’s Cinematography Intensive for women. In that same year, she joined the International Cinematographers Guild, Local 600. Watson has worked on commercial sets with clients such as Amazon, Microsoft, Old Spice, and REI films. Her narrative feature work highlights include working on the sets such as LANE 1974 (The Orchard), SWORD OF TRUST (IFC Films), and TWIN PEAKS (Showtime). She continues to shoot and direct, as well as assist with the inner workings behind the infrastructure of the Breakwater Camera Department.
When Haley is not working, she is writing at your local coffee shop or taking a long drive to find a place to get lost.
