Haley Watson is a Los Angeles based filmmaker, and cinematographer. Watson began her career in Richland, Washington after running out of gas on the way to Seattle from Chicago. In Richland, she worked as the assistant to the producer on the independent feature film DESERT CATHEDRAL. She finished the drive to Seattle and in 2015 earned two bachelor’s degrees from the University of Washington in psychology, and in film production. She continued to freelance as a camera assistant on commercials and narrative films in Seattle.
In 2018 Watson moved to Los Angeles. Shortly after arriving she was selected into American Film Institute’s Cinematography Intensive for women. In that same year, she joined the International Cinematographers Guild, Local 600. Haley continues to shoot and direct, manage the inner workings of the Breakwater Sight & Sound.
